Health, Safety & Environment Policy
ECOTECH is committed to protecting the health and safety of our employees, customers, public and the environment. It is our policy to conduct business in a manner consistent with all applicable health, safety and environmental laws and regulations. Where laws and regulations do not exist or reflect best management practices, we will adopt our own health, safety and environmental standards. ECOTECH strives for continuous improvement in our HS&E performance. In furtherance of this policy, the company shall:
  • Comply with all applicable health, safety and environmental laws and regulations
  • Develop procedures and provide guidance to facility managers and employees concerning health, safety and environmental requirements
  • Ensure that all employees, contract employees, and subcontractors are aware of their role and responsibility to fulfill and sustain ECOTECH’s health, safety and environmental procedures and policy
  • Integrate health, safety and environmental requirements in facility and/or equipment design and modification activities throughout the company, including business acquisitions
  • Search for ways to eliminate or reduce the release of contaminates into the environment through pollution prevention and minimization programs
  • Require facility managers to inform the Corporate Director of Health, Safety and Environmental and/or the General Counsel immediately upon receipt of any regulatory agency citation or notice of violation
  • Require all employees to inform management of any real or potential health, safety or environmental situation that could place employees, the public and/or the company at risk
ECOTECH requires all suppliers to conduct their work in a manner consistent with ECOTECH expectations for protecting the health and safety of all personnel and protection of the environment. Prior to commencing work, suppliers are required to notify ECOTECH of any potential hazards they may introduce to the work area. Conversely, ECOTECH is required to notify suppliers/contractors of hazards that their workers may be exposed to, as well as the ECOTECH Health, Safety and Environmental requirements for the area they are working within as appropriate.
